Mosquito Island
Mosquito Island is about 4 km away and is usually reached by the traditional longtail boat (approx. 20 minutes) or by speedboat (approx. 10 minutes). The reef drops off to 14 metres and is covered with hard and soft corals. In addition to schools of barracudas, moray eels and lionfish, you can also watch leopard sharks sleeping on the sandy bottom.
Only 1km north-west of Mosquito Island lies Mosquito Pinnacle. This site drops down to a depth of 25 metres. Here you will find multi-coloured soft corals, sweetlips, giant morays and blue spotted stingrays.
